In cooperation with different teams, Grozev authored numerous landmark investigations: for example, he identified the intelligence officers who poisoned Alexey Navalny (2020) as well as the Russian officers linked to the shooting down of the flight MH17 (2014); he unmasked the GRU officers involved in the planned coup in Montenegro (2016) as well as the three Skripal poisoning suspects (2018).
Christo Grozev’s research focuses on security threats, extraterritorial clandestine operations, and the weaponization of information.
His recent revelations were awarded with the 2019 European Press Prize Investigative Reporting Award and the London Press Club Prize for Digital Journalism.
Format: Brief conversation about multiple aspects of Christo Grozev’s research and its political consequences, followed by a live Q@A.
